29th October 2008 (Wed): Kbox~~
Yes!! Kbox in Seattle :D:D you are not reading wrongly~~
It is not the company Kbox.. but rather the place is called Gossip Karaoke. We were suppose to go the week before but after much time finding the place, we found out that it was $32 per hour for the room on the day we went!! So ex.. and we decided to come back again during ladies night which was $8 per pax for the whole night..
Coming back to the location of the place.. the entrance to this place is in a back alley that cannot be seen from the main street and the address stated on their website is not really their real address.. we had to call the person so many times before being able to find the place. And it seems like people only know this place through word of mouth and only if they request for karaoke would they lead you to the rooms (apparently that is the case for the one in Chinatown). So this lead me to conclude that they are operating illegally.. lol.. think they never really buy all the rights to the songs.. but can sing can liao.. hee..

The songs there are mainly Chinese (not necessary the latest songs) and some old English songs (to serve the HUGE demand for kbox by the Chinese population here.. like me! :p) so Sila could only sing English songs, and rita some Chinese and canto songs.. me and cynthea à Chinese songs.. hee overall I find it was not bad, considering that I’m in USA and still can find kbox.. :):)
