time seems to pass so fast here.. woke up at 8a.m today.. but after checking my emails and eating breakfast, it is already 9.30a.m. Headed off to Schmitz Hall to pay my Housing fees and at the same time walk around the school to take some pictures.

-ready for my walk around the school! with my hat of course to block the glaring sun-

-the HUB-
which is like the YIH in NUS

-the side view of Suzzallo Library and Allen Library-
Libraries which i think wld be using quite often

-The red square together with Odegaard Library on the left and the Kane building-
Red square cos the floor is red.. (but not that red anymore i guess)
Odegaard Library is an undergraduate library.. so i guess i be there often too.
Kane building with large LTs, another place i wld visit for my lessons.
And do you see the 3 chimmey like structures.. they are actually exhaust vents for the carpark below the red square! (Truthfully, i think think they are out of place)

-Hansee Hall (again)-
The place i'm staying :):)

and again the side of the hall i'm stayin :)
i'm staying on the 4th floor.. my bed is next to the windows that are opened :):)

and i realise Hansee hall has its own tennis court and beach volleyball court! wow!

and not forgetting basketball court :)

and lastly UW moscot!! Husky!! therefore all UW students are known as Huskies!! woof~
this moscot is outside the HUB building..

After a while, i decided to head back to my hall to do some laundry but after carrying my clothes down to the basement, i found out i could not use the US$56 that was in my Husky Card because that money is not laundry money :( also found out that laundry at Hansee Hall is US$1.20 per load per washer per dryer, which is super ex. but no choice.. in the future wld have to wash at the hall since money wld be set aside for it and i cannot use it for anything else.. sucks..

anw.. after realising i can't use the US$56 for laundry and recalling that i couldn't use it at the supermarket off campus, i decided to check online which places i could spend this money and found out that i could only spend it on-campus -_-''' and by tmr! most of the shops on campus are close and convenience stores are like 7-11.. i can't even buy stationary or textbooks :(

Headed down to the nearing convenience store at McCarty Hall.. and i bought junk food to last me for the next 3 mths.. (dunno how i gg to carry all of them if i am allocated a permanant hsing..) but the things i bought were super ex.. considering i could have gotten them at the supermarket near the school for a cheaper price.. but no choice.. if i dun spend the money by tmr, it wld be confiscated.. so just spend lor.. i was just grabbing whatever food that looks nice.. not looking at the price.. :p

All these cost US$33.73
and i'm left with US$22.27.. dunno what else to buy :(

so i have all these food on top of the cereals and vitamin water i bought the day before.. vitamin water is quite common here... guess because it is not easy to get fruits and vege here..

after all these shopping, headed to Cynthea's hse to cook! first time cooking in Seattle :):) we cooked the spaghetti (and soup) that i had bought for her using my US$56.. in total we spent close to 2 hours cooking.. but it was a nice meal :):)
then we headed back to school.. me for my trip to Space Needle together with FIUTS (the organisation in-charge of events for international students) and Cynthea for her Law Orientation Dinner. Trip to Space Needle was so rush.. that we could only stay at the top for 15mins.. (cos we couldn't get on the 1st bus and we had to wait for 30mins to get on the next bus) and after that we headed to Zeek's Pizza to have our dinner and i got to meet many other international friends :):)

-the space needle-

View from the top:

A building by Frank Gehry! It is located just next to the space needle :)

Dinner:

-finally some vege!-

tmr i wld be gg to the zoo!! yippee!!
