8th Sept 2008 (U.S. Time)
After travelling for 8 hours from New York, i finally reach Seattle!
My First view of Seattle:
First impression of Seattle from the airport charter bus we took.. it is soooo hilly like the streets of L.A! i'm in for an exercise!
After putting our bags down in our motel, King's Inn (which will be my home for the next one week and it has free Wi-Fi! :D ), we set off to walk around the streets of Seattle.
-King's Inn-
First stop is the Washington State Convention & Trade Center where they have the Visitor's Centre and lots of free maps..
then we walked to Pike Place Market..
got hungry and ate
and then we walk to International District, which is actually the chinatown of Seattle. We did some grocery shopping from this local store, Uwajimaya ( a Japanese Supermarket) which is actually quite famous in Seattle.
and we got lost in International District.. ahah.. we didn't know how to make our way back to our motel by bus :p
In the end, this kind driver caught me and my dad staring and pointing at the map at the bus stop and wave to us to board his bus so he could give us some directions. Turn out his bus wld pass by an area near our hotel and we could just take his bus to reach our destination :D
lucky us!
By the time we reached the hotel it was abt 6-7pm Seattle Time.. but in fact it was abt 10+pm NY Time due to the time difference and i was experiencing some jet lag.. started feeling a headache.. quickly pop in a panadol, eat some dinner and off to bed.. dun wan to fall sick!
and laundry wld have to wait for the next day..
and the green line is the total distance we walked.. (start from hotel)
