First 5 days in Seattle

I've been in Seattle for 5 days! been mainly heading to school for orientation :)

i have blog abt my mon and tue.. Wed was a free day for me (no need to go school) so i was with my parents and we went to the Seattle Premium Outlet (which is actually a factory outlet for quite a number of stores..) was expecting to shop a lot there.. but in the end, it was a disappointing trip.. spent 2 hours gg there but we did not buy anything at all.. :(

we were back in Seattle by 3p.m and we were house/room hunting cause i did not want to stay in temp. housing. No luck finding any as all of them require a min. 1 year lease and do not do short term leasing.. headed to chinatown at abt 7p.m for grocery/dinner shopping and back to motel..

On Thurs, i made my way to school on my own for the first time.. first time taking the public bus alone too..

Went to school for Opening Day for International Students at University of Washington (UW=U Dub.. that's what the uni is called here) All international students were suppose to attend it and i think a total of abt 700+ plus turn up. The whole ballroom was filled with ppl from all over the world! Met a few of the foreign students but none of them were exchange students.. After that a tour of the campus and the surroundings..

and that ends my day in campus. Met up with my parents and headed back to downtown Seattle and i manage to buy boots!! yippee!! :D have to buy boots without heels cos Seattle requires too much walking!! absolutely no no to heels!!

Today (Friday) started with gg to school for a briefing for exchange students in UW. Finally got to meet exchange students!! :D Got to meet a great bunch of gals and guys from Korea, HK, Taiwan, Thailand and even Singapore.. that i'm looking forward to hanging out with (and hopefully travel with too :p) Also got a chance to talk to some Europeans :) Ate lunch together and together we headed to join the Downtown Tour organised by FIUTS. Follwed that was a BBQ at Woodland Park.. hotdogs and hamburgers were provided..together with drinks and chips :)

Tmr wld be my first weekend in Seattle and i wld be meeting Cynthia for lunch and maybe some grocery shopping.. it wld also be my first day alone in Seattle (my parents flying off tmr morning) On sunday, i wld be moving to my temporary housing and hopefully settle down properly.. (hope the place wld be alright..)
