First day of classes

First day of classes was ok.. but just miss having friends around to go classes together..
Because the courses i'm taking are from different depts and are at introductory level, the classes are very big (one of them even more then 680 ppl..) but see how it goes.. maybe i meet some other ppl during lab sessions/quiz..

Currently, i still waiting for NUS GEM dept to approve one of the modules i REALLY REALLY hope to take.. is called Appreciating Architecture.. yar sounds boring but actually its not! i went for the first lecture and it is far more interesting then 'Living with Volcanoes', which wld be the module i'ld be taking if i cannot take the archi one.. cannot map the archi module as breadth so hope can map as GEM.. but chances are very very slim.. eekks..

and i realised last night before i slept that the lab session for my construction methods module requires me to go off-campus and it is quite far away.. -_-''' and i went to put it directly after my soci module.. :( :( dunno shld i drop the module, skip the lecture on days i need to travel to the lab, or leave the class halfway.. i really want to take the soci module.. so wld be making my decision after the first soci class tmr.. maybe make a trip down to the lab to see what's the travelling time like.. :(:( think because of this.. i couldn't sleep well last night.. :(

hope i can faster settle all these stuff by next week.. else wld have penalty on my tution fee..
and i also tired of keeping track of the stuff i need to look out for for both NUS and UW.. seeking approvals and stuff..

anw... here's something to think abt..
The westerners are surprised Singaporeans are able to speak fluent English. The Asians (even those from Taiwan, China, Korea) are surprised Singaporeans can speak Chinese. So if you think abt it, what are foreigners' impression of us and the language we speak?

yet to ask anyone over here this question.. :p
