Canada - Niagara Falls & Toronto (Part 1)

3rd September 2008 (U.S. Time)

Rise and shine and time to view the Niagara Falls by day!! woohoo!

Last look at the motel we stayed in..

Firstly, Niagara Falls and surroundings from land.. from the observation deck..

Next we got to sit the Maid of the Mist, a boat ride that brings you right to the middle of the Horseshoe Falls..be prepared to get drenched!

Poncho ready (free Maid of the Mist poncho!).. camera ready (wrapped in plastic bag).. and off we go!

Below is the boat we took..

Imagine the boat travelling to the middle of the horseshoe falls like below..

Niagara Falls from the boat..

Not enough? i got videos!

After the boat ride, drenched..

When entering the falls, you actually cannot see much cause water just keep splashing on your face like in a rainstorm. I also didn't know what i was taking with my camera.. just randomly clicking the buttom and taking videos.. but the experience was great! with the sound, min. sight and water :D

After the boat ride, we were given 30mins free time, and we walked all the way to the other end of the falls to see the horseshoe falls close up! it was amazing!

We had to rush back to meet the tour group to go for lunch and was practically running and walking the long stretch of road. Made it back in time and off we went for lunch up on the Skylon Tower :):)

So great we went up there to have lunch.. food was nice (considering the meals we had the last few days) and the view was superb! a definate must to go to the restaurant to have a meal and for the view.

For lunch, we could choose either chicken, salmon or prime rib for the main course. Me and my dad shared both the prime rib and salmon so we could try both of them!

And as the restaurant was the revolving type, we could see the whole skyline of Niagara Falls and surroundings. :):)

After our meal, we headed up to the observation deck that was above the restaurant to get more view of the Falls. It wasn't that good cos they had metal grilles so pictures that were taken were not as nice as those taken in the restaurant.

Then it was time to leave the Falls and head to Toronto!

More to come!
