Along the way, we met another group of international friends that were also taking the boat to San Juan Islands. But they were only going for the whale watching and not the overnight stay.
The boat we took :)

then we started spotting life in the ocean!
There was seals!
It was very hard to take photos cos by the time you spot it, it was already gg back into the water and by the time you zoom into it, it was gone.. tried videoing too but it was the same.. in the end most ppl just decided to stop taking photos and observe it.
After that, the boat headed back to shore and by then we were quite seasick cos the boat was floating up and down on the water for such a long time during the period which the whale appeared..
-artistic?-
By then, it was already 2+ going to 3pm and we have yet to eat our lunch. We decided to go downtown (which is actually just the habour and few rows of streets - the main area of the island) to have our meal. We decided on eating seafood, and Noon and Cynthea had Crab Cake (left) and i had Salmon with taco (right).
By then it was abt 4p.m and we went to rent bikes to cycle around the island. The bikes were super ex.. it was US$36 for 24 hours.. -_-'''
We initially wanted to cycle to Limekiln Point State Park and if possible San Juan Country Park to try and see some Oscar Whales and the sunset.. but we met this local after taking a wrong turn, and he mentioned that the American Camp was also not a bad place to visit. So we changed course and headed for the American Camp

Dunno what makes us think the island was small and that we can cycle around easily.. We were so tired halfway through and we did not know how much longer we had to cycle to reach the American Camp. The road that leads there was not ideal for cycling.. in the sense that there was a lot of upslopes (and downslopes too).. but after all the long days of walking around in Seattle.. our legs were just too tired.. and cynthea was also not feeling too well.. think we cycled for slightly below 10km? also not sure.. but we finally reached the entrance of the American Camp at sunset.. abt 6.30p.m.. decided that we did not want to cycle somemore cos we do not know how far in is the camp and we branch out to a place called Eagle Cove that was just outside the Camp to take pictures of the sunset..

We tried hitching a ride but most of them were cars so cannot fit us and our bikes.. then we decided to go knock on doors of the houses nearby to borrow the phone to call up our hotel. Cynthea and Noon went off and i stayed with the bikes.. nothing to do so i took photos..
In the end the hotel said they cannot pick us up and i think they recommended calling a taxi.. But the kind person who lent us the phone to make the call offered to drive us back to the hotel!so kind! she drove the car with us in it.. and her son drove a pickup with our bikes in it.. During the ride back.. i realised that we did cycle very very far.. the ride back to the hotel was abt 10 mins i think.. wow..
by the time we reached the hotel it was abt 8 and we were so tired and hungry.. i was still feeling seasick.. feeling of floating on water.. maybe because too tired.. we decided to eat something cheap and it resulted in dining at the only chinese restaurant on the island.. wrong choice.. food was yucky.. but we just ate.. and faster return back to the hotel to rest.. (and read some stuff while waiting for each other to wash up)
