ESS101 IMAX Movie

3rd Dec (Wed): ESS101 IMAX Movie
After my trip back from Vancouver on Sunday night, Monday to Wednesday was just hectic. Had to rush out papers, research for my ESS101 class debate, and study for my ARCH150 finals.
The debate and final was on Wed, and after my ARCH150 exam at 4.30p.m, i headed to my last field trip for my ESS101 class. It was a IMAX movie screening at the Pacific Science Center at Seattle Center (near the Space Needle)!
I had to take a bus to Downtown first before transferring to another bus. But it was gd that i pass by Downtown! Got to see all the pretty Christmas deco :) There was a merry-go-round, christmas tree, and snow flakes laser lights on buildings!
The bus that i took from Downtown to Space Needle did not stopped directly at Space Needle, but rather was at some ulu place nearby. Add on to the fact that it was already pitched black at 5.00p.m, i was like on high alert mode, being very aware of my surroundings because i wasn't sure whether the place i was walking through was safe or not and i was alone! But i did manage to take some pictures of the Space Needle while i was waiting for the green man at junctions.
From the pictures it was not very clear, but the top of the Space Needle was decorated like a mini christmas tree. :)

At the base of the Space Needle was a real Christmas Tree.
Pacific Science Center where the IMAX is located.
I reached the place early and the gate was not opened yet for the 6pm show so i went walking around the place alone.

Inside the Seattle Center:
Mini Doll Houses:

As there was a Winterfest at Seattle Center, there was a merry-go-round and indoor ice skating rink within the grounds.

By then it was time to go and purchase my ticket for the movie - just a $2 entrance fee. The prof had booked the whole theatre for a private screening of this geog related film - "The Volcanoes Beneath"
The Eames Imax Theatre:
The movie was not very exciting.. hee what can we expect from an educational film :p but at least i got to see the IMAX theatre in Seattle :)
Some photos i took while exiting the theatre:

Then it was time to head back to the loft :)
